Psalms 82 AMP
God stands in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods (divine beings).
How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah.
Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice and maintain the rights of the afflicted and destitute. Rescue the weak and needy; Rescue them from the hand of the wicked.
The rulers do not know nor do they understand; They walk on in the darkness [of complacent satisfaction]; All the foundations of the earth [the fundamental principles of the administration of justice] are shaken. I said, “You are gods; Indeed, all of you are sons of the Most High. “Nevertheless you will die like men and fall like any one of the princes.”
Arise, O God, judge the earth! For to You belong all the nations.
Is there anyone amongst us that does not see the violence that is prevailing across this entire world? From the smallest community to the greatest city aggression, rudeness, thoughtless carelessness infiltrates every community. It feels like the whole world has gone insane and all the people respond with fear and even more violence to defend themselves. Do you think that all of this anger and violence may have an outside influence pushing it on us?
Eph. 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Who and what are these principalities, powers, rulers, and wicked spiritual beings? Our first introduction to one of these beings is in Genesis 3:1-14. it wasn’t a literal snake that spoke to Eve but the fallen being we know as the satan - the accuser, liar and adversary who is so prideful that he was cast from heaven.
Isa. 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
Luke 10:18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
